Candlepin, the way New England plays it.
If you have only bowled tenpin, candlepin is a different game. The ball fits in your hand, the pins stand thin and straight, and you get three throws a frame instead of two. Knocking them all down is genuinely hard, which is most of the fun.
Priced per lane, per hour. Not per person. One rate covers everyone standing on it.
Six bowlers to a lane. Larger groups just take a second lane, or a third.
Rental shoes included. No separate line item, no extra counter stop.
Lanes are first come, first served. Weekend evenings fill up, so earlier is easier.

Most bowling alley food exists to be tolerated. Luci’s is a real kitchen and bar sitting alongside the lanes, with handmade artisan pizzas built on fresh local ingredients.
The Cookie Pizza

Leagues are the backbone of a candlepin house. Youth leagues run for ages five through seventeen, and adult and senior leagues take it from there, with professional coaching available at every level.
